Community Governance

Description

Community resilience needs tools that allow them to manage a common pool of resources in a decentralized fashion. The Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) may be viewed as a tool that any community might need, so the collective incentives are maximized while allowing individuals belonging to the community to be an active part of the governance mechanism over a common pool of resources.

This challenge consists of building up one or more of the different DAO configurations, to allow a community of users to experiment with different on-chain (smart contract based) governance mechanisms over a common pool of resources (vault).

Guidelines

We encourage teams to develop on RSK platform the different set of DAO configuration:

Shares issuing DAO where governance over a vault resides on the ammount of tokens issued (one-token/ one-vote)

Democracy DAO where governance relies one-member/one-vote mechanism

Reputation DAO where governance rely on non-transferable tokens minted by the DAO itself

DAOs with straight forward cash-in / cash-out mechanism (see MolochDAO)

Straight forward DAO UI/UX
